We’re excited to announce that we’ve begun a comprehensive rebrand for Orlando-based QAS. Recognized by Inc. magazine four consecutive years as one of the fastest growing private companies in America, QAS is concentrated on new and evolving medical diagnostic technology for the consumer and physician markets. MODE will be working closely with the team at QAS to develop key collateral and visual standards across all mediums including printed collateral, advertising and interactive initiatives.

Based on the early success of the rebrand we’ve also been tapped to develop the 2008 annual report for QAS’s parent company, Inverness Medical Innovations. Headquartered in Boston, MA with 7500 employees worldwide and 1.6 billion in revenue, Inverness is a global leader in rapid diagnostic products. Inverness Medical Innovations has major research & development and operational centers in the US, UK, Germany and Israel, and manufacturing sites in the UK, China, Japan and the US.

Introducing GINA

Introducing GINA

I am always intrigued and inspired when the standard approach or standard use of materials is questioned, once you force yourself to explore the alternative the results are often exciting and innovative. One beautiful and extraordinary example of this concept is GINA, the concept car unveiled earlier this year by BMW.

GINA is modeled after a Z8 Roadster, but they’ve eliminated the standard surfaces, door handles and lights, and have replaced them with a flexible fabric covering the entire car.The use of fabric allows BMW to play with the way the standard fittings work. For instance, the door no longer has to rigidly open outwards; instead it slides up, rippling the fabric in the process.
