Every year Winthrop University’s Graphic Design and Illustration Seniors put on an event to showcase their brand spankin’ new portfolios of work to friends, family, the design community and anyone else that might be interested. I look forward to this event every spring since I, too, was once one of these enthusiastic seniors ready to show off my work to anyone who would look. It’s exciting to see, not only the portfolios of each student, but also how each class brands and advertises their show.
You should check out the website for this year’s show simply titled ‘Illustration & Graphic Design Show.’ The event will be held on Friday, April 16th, 2010 at the Design Resource Center at 1930 Camden Rd. Charlotte, NC 28203. The students put a lot of work into these shows (believe me, I know), so come out and support Winthrop’s Visual Communication Design Seniors, I will be!
